What QRinst does
QRinst lets anyone create QR codes for links, Wi-Fi networks, contact cards, email, phone numbers, SMS, WhatsApp and plain text. You can change colours, add a logo, put a frame and call-to-action around the code, and download it as PNG, SVG or PDF — ready for print or screen.
For businesses there are also dynamic QR codes: codes whose destination you can change after printing, with scan counts, plus digital business cards and restaurant menu pages.
Why QRinst exists
I built QRinst because searching for a QR code generator usually turns up tools that are either not really free, or demand a sign-in before you can download anything. QRinst is meant to be the opposite: open the page, make the code, download it. No account, no watermark. It is also built to be easy for developers, with a simple API and clean exports.
Who builds QRinst
QRinst is designed, built and maintained by Dhurka Manchukan, a software engineer based in Batticaloa, Sri Lanka. I work professionally with React, TypeScript, Node.js and PostgreSQL, and I own features from design through CI/CD deployment. Other projects include a travel booking platform and a cross-platform mobile app. I hold a BSc in Applied Physics & Electronics from Eastern University, Sri Lanka.

Privacy by design
Static QR codes are rendered entirely in your browser. The content you type — your Wi-Fi password, your contact details, your link — is never sent to our servers. No account is needed and there is no watermark or download limit. Sign-in is only required for dynamic features, because those codes must be stored so they can be redirected and edited.

Besides the generator, QRinst offers a QR code scannability checker, a UTM link builder for campaign tracking, practical guides on printing and using QR codes, and a developer API.
How QRinst is funded
The core generator is free. It is supported by optional paid Pro plans for dynamic codes and analytics, by a small number of clearly labelled advertisements, and by affiliate links to printing services. Details are in our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
